Belgrade, Serbia is without a doubt one of the best historical and cultural cities in Europe, but it’s the Belgrade nightlife that makes this city truly special. I believe many European cities may fall short when compared to Belgrade in terms of restaurants, pubs, and clubs. All-day fun, affordable prices, and the famous Serbian hospitality, with beautiful Serbian ladies as a bonus. So, let’s start discovering Serbian nightlife.
There are many ways to have fun when you are in Belgrade. The downtown area is probably the famous spot that where most clubs and bars located at. It is quite big and easy to memorize, thanks to historical buildings. The location of famous clubs, bars, and various restaurants won’t be hard to reach since most of them are positioned on the most famous two or three streets.
The first street you should visit is called Skadarlija, located in Stari Grad (old town). This is a famous bohemian street where you can find numerous restaurants with excellent food and traditional Serbian music, along with traditional Serbian beer. I would definitely recommend trying Cabinet and Dogma national beers.
However, if you prefer more active and up-to-date fun, consider streets like Strahinjica Bana or Terazije. Strahinjica Bana Street (also known as Silicon Valley) is particularly known as some kind of a promenade, where you can find the most beautiful girls in this city. In this street, you can find a variety of venues, and most of them are fancy restaurants.
In surrounding streets, you can find many pubs where you can try craft beer and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Belgrade, Serbia Nightlife. The same streets are also full of unique nightclubs, known as “kafana.” This is a mixture of traditional and modern, where you can watch excitingly dressed up girls and enjoy both Serbian and foreign modern music.
Best Nightclubs in Belgrade
All these clubs and pubs located on mentioned streets are worth spending time, but the real local Serbian fun is actually settled on the other part of the city. Belgrade lies on two rivers, on the confluence of Sava and Danube. So, it’s not surprising that hundreds of clubs are located on both sides of the coastline. Commonly known as Splavovi (rafts), these are actually old ships and boats redesigned into clubs and restaurants. If you wonder why people often say that Belgrade never sleeps, this is the answer.
These clubs work seven days a week. Even if it’s Monday, don’t worry; you will find live music or DJs performing at any of them. There is no visiting hour limitation, which makes nightlife in Belgrade unique and attractive. These places work all night long, until dawn. Count on high-intensity fun and plenty of beautiful ladies, including famous television personalities and starlets. Here are some of them;
Freestyler nightclub in Belgrade is definitely one of the most famous nightclubs in the city. It is the biggest and one of the oldest river clubs also. Positioned on the left side of Sava River, right under the Old Sava Bridge, so you should be able to find it pretty easily. Famous singers and DJs perform every night, while celebrities are regular customers.
There are plenty of beautiful ladies of all ages. Although a highly renowned club, prices are quite affordable. Beers start at $2.5, short drinks are $3-4, while a bottle of wine costs around 10 dollars. Cocktails are between 5 and 8 dollars.
The Bank Club
Located on the right side of the Sava River, this club is very new. It was opened in 2017 but instantly became one of the most popular places in the city. Moreover, many nightlife enthusiasts consider this river club as the best nightclub in Belgrade. It is known for amazing RnB parties, while celebrities visit this place on a regular basis. You won’t be able to enter if you’re under 23. Prices are similar to Freestyler, if not even more affordable.
Kasina club is placed in the city center. During daylight hours, it is a lounge bar but turns into a real night club after dark. Every weekend, famous bands and DJs perform here. You probably won’t find many celebrities here, but there are so many beautiful girls, especially those of a younger age. Prices are very affordable, at the same level as in river clubs mentioned above.
This Irish-style pub is positioned right across the Faculty of Chemistry, so it’s no wonder that you can find a wide choice of excellent craft beers. The atmosphere is very relaxed, while girls prefer the unusual way of clothing. No need for dressing up for this place.
There is a variety of different kinds of beers, including lager, dark lager, pilsner, wheat, hefeweizen, and many more. Tap beers start at $1.5, while even those most exotic types won’t cost you more than 5 dollars. (Prices belong to 2018. They may have changed by now.) These are just some of the best nightclubs in Belgrade. But there are much more to discover in Belgrade, Serbia Nightlife.
Guest-Friendly Belgrade Hotels
Finding a place to stay shouldn’t be complicated. According to your preference, you can choose between numerous hostels, hotels, and apartments. As we already mentioned, there are two spotlights when it comes to nightclubs – city center and rivers. So, some accommodation in between these two areas would be a perfect choice. Our suggestion is a part of the city called Savamala.
It is an old, little bit rustic area characterized by numerous hostels, which start around 15 – 20 dollars for a night. The main railway station is just a few minutes walk, which is a great benefit. If you prefer hotels, a good single room could be found for 40-70 dollars. Finally, if you travel in a group, an apartment would be our suggestion. There are thousands of apartments for rent, and you can find a decent one for no more than 10 dollars per bed.

A hot meal that includes soup, the main dish, and dessert goes around 10 dollars. If you want to try the famous Serbian kitchen, an average meal won’t cost you more than 20 dollars. As we already mentioned, drinks in nightclubs are also very affordable. Here is a short list of average prices:
